RESA 8 provides the training to start the process to become a substitute teacher -
we do not hire substitutes.
After you have completed the 2 day training, you will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate will be valid for one (1) year towards getting your state substitute teacher permit. If you have not been hired within one (1) year of the date the certificate is issued, you will have to take the class again. Please contact the county(ies) where you would like to apply to see if they are hiring and what their procedures are. The links at the bottom of this page will take you to the home page of the counties RESA 8 serves.
If you have any questions or are in need of any additional information, please call Melissa Acquino at 304.596.2661 or you may send an email to email@example.com
This is a two day workshop and you must attend both days of the session to renew or obtain your certificate of completion.

There is a $50.00 registration fee, made payable to RESA 8, to attend this training.
